I love to help people, and I am so grateful for this opportunity to be a part of Longevity Healing Arts. Assisting others to achieve their goals in health and wellness is extremely important to me.

I am truly honored to be accepted as an 8th generation Lineage Disciple of Lu Jia Qiang Shan Ba Gua Zhang. Almost 15 years ago Lu Jia Qiang Shan Ba Gua Zhang quite literally saved me. I was in a very bad place in my life and knew I had to change myself in order to survive. A very good friend of mine at the time helped me research which martial arts training I should pursue, and I kept coming back to Lu Jia Qiang Shan Ba Gua Zhang over and over again. Needless to say after my first class I knew I found what I needed to better myself. I was hooked. It wasn't long after that that I became aware of the lineage, and I remember back then thinking that if I apply myself and work hard then maybe it may become possible for me as well over time. Being in this place in my life right now and being accepted by Master Park as an 8th generation Lineage Disciple is a privilege that I will always cherish. One that will make me work harder than ever before. A privilege and honor I will never take for granted.

Master Park has accepted Tracy Lanzilotti as an 8th Generation Lineage Disciple of orthodox Wu Dang Ba Gua Zhang. Her lineage name, Dìng Yù (定玉), translates as Stable/Firm Jade.

One of the most profound lessons this art taught me very early on is "how you do anything is how you do everything," and that the things you do most often are what become your habits, your reflexes. When I first began to experience moments in my training, that challenged me not just physically but mentally and emotionally as well, it was then that I started to recognize just how much of a life-changing impact this art could have on me if I went all in. And so I did, I went all in. 11 years and 4 months later, this lesson still carries the same weight for me and this art, this incredibly beautiful art, continues to provide just the right challenges I need in that moment in order to grow as a martial artist in the discipline and in life. The deeper you allow yourself to go with your training, the more the discipline and these lessons naturally spill over into every aspect of your life. You learn to approach everything with the same reverence as you do your physical training. For a martial artist, life becomes a moving meditation, a 24/7 practice. I am a better person because of this art and I have such a deep respect and appreciation for Lu Jia Qiang Shan Ba Gua Zhang, for Master Park, and for all of my Ba Gua brothers and sisters. I wholeheartedly feel humbled, blessed, and grateful for the privilege of being accepted as an 8th generation Lineage Disciple. This art has never let me down and so I will continue to show up, to work hard, and to train to the best of my ability so that I remain worthy of the honor of being named Dìng Yù.
